He is your average lad who is all of eighteen years of age and comes from a well to do family.

However his own dream drives him apart from his rich father and his legacy and leads him to rebel against the privileged lifestyle he was brought up in. He leaves home for Delhi where he enrols in a tuition class to prepare for his dream- a seat at IIT, Delhi.

And while he is trying to make sense of his new life and adjust to his surroundings, he makes new friends. Life seems to be good.

Herein enters Shweta, the gorgeous classmate from his tutorials and he is immediately smitten. But as fate would have it, she is already dating someone else and Jayrish is nothing but a friend.

But what remain unsaid on both their parts are their doubts over their love being real or not. Love is never easy and that is what the author Jwotirmoy Mazumdar tries to portray in his book. The character of Jayrish is a classic example of a young guy in love who is confused and scared and often makes the wrong decisions. It is also an insight into the fast paced Delhi life where nothing ever stops and once you fall back it is difficult to get back on track.

It is in this backdrop that their love story evolves. The romantic scenes are well written and the author has been successful in expressing the emotions of the characters. But for someone who is into the boy meets girl formula this is an interesting read. It is a good book for those readers who are partial to the chick lit genre.

By Jyotirmoy Mazumdar. Grade C Mr. Jyotirmoy Mazdumdar, hails from Guwahati, the far end at north-east of India. At a young age of 19 years, Mr. Do you think Care By Jyotirmoy Mazumdar. Do you think love has boundaries and restrictions?

Would you go on to an unknown place for someone you hardly know? Do you think you can chase your dreams and your love together? Can love make you forget things you thought were the most important in your life?

Yes, Love can change your life. He is a guy who wants to go beyond his limits to crack IIT, away from his parents away from the world. But he falls in love. Can his friends save his ship from sinking or has it already sunk? Can he achieve his dreams or does love become his new goal? The cover jacket is good, and designed very well. After reading the back blurb, which reveals nothing about the characters but gives a rough picture of plot.

The first impression was not good. He is a self proclaimed half-lunatic stud and stands nowhere near the maudlin emotion called love. He makes two best friends, and falls in love with Shweta, almost within a few minutes of first meeting her. Twist 2: She is already committed. Mazumdar is young, and that is painfully evident in his undeveloped writing. Even if I forget the age factor for a while, there is poor grammar, absolutely no editing, conversations without context, no time constraint at all, and cheerful use of the sms-lingo throughout the book.

On a positive side, some beautifully penned poems were nice to read, and Mr. Mazumdar gave his heart and soul to these poems. He portrayed the protagonist, Jayrish, very strongly and other characters played their part very well too. Choosing Delhi as backdrop of the story is wisest thing Mr.

Mazumdar did. The description of places is really authentic. The plot is not very original. It follows a predictable plot line of infatuation, love, proposal, initial rejection, dramatic heartbreak, heartwarming acceptance, immense love, and overdo of cheesy dialogues. Some may try to be a little more dramatic, and give it a sad ending instead.

To sum up, I would say that if you are looking for a well written novel with a unique love story, I would suggest you to skip this. If Mr. Mazumdar is planning to write another book, I wish him the very best of luck, and suggest him to look more attentively into thought framing and editing department. Originally reviewed at www.

Jan 14, Iti Agarwal rated it liked it. The struggle between chasing dreams and also running after the true love has been expressed in a very impressive manner in the book. Most of the teenagers can relate with the book because in one or the other way they also must have faced what protagonist did,the story is really touchy and can bring tears in your eyes and at the same time it can create hatred in you for the girl he loves.

The book is simply awesome and worth reading. The story revolves around a boy named Jayrish who comes to Delhi after fighting with his family for the sake of his dreams but meets Shweta and falls in love with her. His ambition was to get selected in IIT and so he joins the coaching for 1 year. He finds two good friends but will they always stay with him is something you will get to know after reading the book yourself.

The book is all about love story of Jayrish but his love story is not like every other love story and has a lot of twists and turns, epitomizes cruelty manipulations. Will his journey turn out to be fruitful in sense of his dreams and love or will it lead to a total loss. Read the book and find out yourself. I am quite satisfied with the book and you must read it unless you are allergic to love stories because if it is so, then this is not your cup of tea.
