DATABASE SCHEMA DESIGN FOR OODBMS PDF

There is then no refactoring required. Entities are very different and only related with FK. The latter is the critical part and should shape the system. Me the icai also take up to such manner as it should not cite any information. On the other hand the prototyping of a database design may also involve changes to both the structure and behavior of a schema Unfortunately most of the current systems offer little support for schema evolution In this paper we survey the recent development of the research in the schema evolution of object oriented databases.

To provide a rich variety of modeling constructs, which can model most of the situations that may arise in advance database application domains, there is a need of systematic integration of analysis design methods. Consequently, we attempt to borrow useful ideas and notations from these methods for Object Oriented Analysis and design. We have exploited this for object oriented database schema design.

We have mapped CCD to object schema using an appropriate mapping algorithm; then we have augmented the OO schema with the necessary behavioral construction. Unable to display preview. Download preview PDF. Skip to main content. This service is more advanced with JavaScript available.

Object Oriented Design Database Schema

A database schema is the skeleton structure that represents the logical view of the entire database. It defines how the data is organized and how the relations among them are associated. It formulates all the constraints that are to be applied on the data. A database schema defines its entities and the relationship among them.
