My problem was I was never fully invested in the characters enough to care about what happened to them, nor was I invested in the Breviary enough to want it to win. More by Sarah Langan. Everything seems to set up nicely at the beginning. Audrey has had a traumatic childhood with her mentally unstable mother and is untreated for her OCD. The two ended up bonding and being supportive of one another, and the book finished in a really optimistic place, so I appreciated that.
