User Info: Nodonn3. Piggyback is a very good guide indeed. It will never stack up against the better walkthroughs on here though since the FAQ's will have available equipment and stuff listed as soon as it's available. Dave's not here man! Oh and check the power levelling guide here, it has the earliest you can get good stuff.
User Info: Vince Piggyback is indeed an excellent guide, most notably its bestiary section. If you follow the walkthrough section meticulously, you won't miss anything at end-game, at least if you don't invent stupid ways ti mess it up, like selling your Mythril Sword etc. However, although the walkthrough section does warn you about important things like the 4 forbidden chests for the Nabudis Zodiac Spear, it does not mention in the text about several things like some one-time chests with missable equipment such as the circlets.
To ensure getting those equipment, you must study the treasure tables in the walkthrough carefully. That is why I said "follow the walkthrough section meticulously". Piggyback does not tip you about power-levelling, that is, to get any strongest equipment at the earlist possible point of the game. For example, although the Zodiac Spear is available quite early in the game, the guide will not mention getting it until at end-game.
So, if you're going to play the game only once and you want a rather perfect game, my advice is to follow Piggyback very carefully, and before you start the game, read the FAQs for Missable things and Power-levelling on this site. User Info: Theoden. Piggyback does do some easy hunts very late in the game. I'd recommend checking out hunts as they become available. Other than a few at the beginning, most can be handled reasonably easily when they become available.
