A large part of the book is concerned with a pathetic futile search for some "obelisks" contained in a "steel ark" supposedly left on Earth by some Superior Intelligence in the distant past. We aren't going to stoop to critiquing such tripe, but instead will just make a few random comments. Drosnin's first chapter concerns the Sep 11 attack on New York. Of course, everyone is by now aware of the many examples we have found of famous assassinations and other notable events predicted by the text of Moby Dick. Drosnin's reaction to them is unsurprising: he pretends they don't exist. When forced to comment on them by an interviewer, he usually lies through his teeth and claims they are fake.

Michael Drosnin, an investigative reporter, first heard of the bible code in He met in Israel with Eli Rips, the mathematician, who broke the code, work that Isaac Newton had attempted and came up empty handed. Since then Drosnin has done work on the code himself. He found the assassination of Yitzak Rabin, one year before it happened.
He warned Rabin personally. Rabin, a fatalist, ignored the warning and on Nov. Since then the bible code has shown many events that happened throughout history. The code was first discovered 50 years ago by Rabbi H.
Weissmandel of Prague, which was based on skipping sequences of Hebrew letters of the Old testament. The Bible Code is still a hot item on the internet, and the terminals are buzzing with varying opinions of the Code. Most who have studied the Code say it proves the existence of an all-super intelligence or God or maybe aliens? But all agree that the Code is a puzzle with thousands of pieces and we only have just a few pieces right now.

The Bible Code
More than just a simple skip code, the Bible code crisscrosses the entire known text of the Bible to find a complex network of words and phrases. For example, after it finds a keyword "Yitzhak Rabin" , the computer then looks for related information "assassin," "Amir," "Tel Aviv". Time after time it finds connected names, dates, and places encoded together. With "Bill Clinton," "President. It also warns of a nuclear war triggered by an act of nuclear terrorism against Israel. The Bible code raises a critical question: Does the code describe an inevitable future or a series of possible futures whose ultimate outcome we can still decide?
Bible Code II
The statistical likelihood of the Bible code arising by chance has been thoroughly researched, and it is now widely considered to be statistically insignificant , as similar phenomena can be observed in any sufficiently lengthy text. Many examples have been documented in the past. One cited example is that by taking every 50th letter of the Book of Genesis starting with the first taw , the Hebrew word " torah " is spelled out. The same happens in the Book of Exodus. Modern computers have been used to search for similar patterns and more complex variants, as well as quantifying its statistical likelihood.
