National wastewater company Indah Water Konsortium IWK is urging its domestic customers to register for e-billing by June , as it says the physical bill will cost RM2 per copy from July A spokesperson for the company shared it has close to four million customer accounts on its connected sewerage systems.
However, realistically, IWK understands that there are customers who may not have access to network connectivity," the spokesperson said to The Star. The RM2 charges for a hard copy will be reflected in the customer's bill, which is now based on a six-month cycle. IWK launched its e-bill service back in and users can register for the service through the company's website to receive their bill via email for free.
Users can also register for e-bill through the IWK mobile app, which also allow users to keep track of their account information and make desludging requests. IWK hopes that more customers will register for the e-Bill service and IWK mobile application to access their sewerage account and pay bills more conveniently," the spokesperson said.
